Being a girl....

Hmmm... these days i think a lot about myself! i wonder how would i describe myself to someone who is totally strange to me and would it match with how others find me. btw no philosophy[ i must remind this time and again i think ;) ]. what makes me think like this is - people have a notion that girls need to be submissive. being polite is a different thing. but if u talk assertive, is it being arrogant? or if you express your views regardless of other's opinions. how fair it is if views/opinions are changed according to whom you are talking? and there comes the question of identity. being a girl, is it wrong to expect an identity for ourselves???

  2. ha ha. 'solution found thru experience ' there lies the difference!! :) but yep. i agree. if i am assertive i should be persistent. then only i can prove to others(as long as it matters)....

  3. aha...another classic euphemistic post to slander BOYkind :-P

someone, people, others - all refer to guys eh :-)

well, looks like the post is based on experience wherein assertion was looked upon as arrogance. likewise, i dont think its generic of guys throughout to make that consideration. assertive women are highly appreciated and looked upto by men too :-) again, need not be generic tho :-P. i do agree some men bruise their ego when women supercede them, but i dont think you really should care. just like what u have posted, being your own true self is what makes the cut. like they say “women who seek to be equal with men lack ambition.” cheers :-)

see i did prove it to you that some men can really appreciate assertive women :-P hope they dont get a KHAP panchayat going against me :-P

  4. "people have a notion that girls need to be submissive"
As girls are described by words "Soft, polite, gentle, sober, delicate yet Emotionally strong(MOTHER),tough at pulling family chariot" so its an impression which the past girls have embraced. It might take some more time in INDIA to Establish NextGen GIRL IDENTITY to be Universally acceptable but process has definitely began...where in it should not deter Girl's Earlier charismatic Impression :-)

But all in all Identity is PERSONIFIED not a gender linked!!!!So be at your true self.
